Be Positive

by Muhammad Abdullah

Depression is a major problem around the world and one of its symptoms is pessimism. Following his return from Umrah our respected Shaykh hafizahullah mentioned the following to the nearest meaning:

“Always think positive, not negative. For example, if there was half a glass of milk on a table, the one who is an optimist will always see the glass as being half full; the pessimist will always see it as being half empty.

When looking at a rosebush, the one who thinks negatively will ignore the fragrance and the beauty. He will see nothing but thorns. On the other hand, the one who thinks positively will see nothing but roses. He will not even think of the thorns.

Remember always maintain good thoughts (and hopes from Allah).
