Being Good to Orphans

[name of author misplaced – student in Final year of the Alimiya course, Bukhari class]

I heard Shaykh [Saleem Dhorat] saying the following regarding the mistreatment of orphans:

“We all tend to ill-treat orphans. Only that person can truly realise how hard it is being an orphan , who has passed through it themselves! When one’s parents are alive, then people have a sense of fear that if they do something to the child then the parents will retaliate. But when a child’s parents have passed away then people do not hesitate in mistreating him! Always remember, be good to orphans and Allah will be happy with you”.
